MAR MORANNON
As a photographer, Mar applies decades of experience behind the lens to capturing the beauty they see around them in every moment. Mar was first introduced to photography by their grandfather, who was a well-known and published railroad expert and photographer. As a child, they carried a camera EVERYWHERE trying to capture every moment they came across in life (but, in reality, mostly capturing blurry nonsense, their own fingers, and goofy photos of friends, family, and pets). In high school, Mar refined their technique with classes in drawing, painting, graphic design, videography, and photography to better understand the fundamentals of visual arts. For a few years in college, Mar worked part time as an events and portrait photographer and videographer before taking a few years off to adjust after relocating for a new job.
They met a new friend and fellow photographer at a show in 2021, leading Mar to embark on a new and exhilarating journey to explore the world of live music photography and they’ve been completely dazzled by the scene ever since! Mar has gone on to shoot bands, festivals, tour content, and more. In 2023, they founded the media production company Metal Dragon Media with a couple of fellow metal creators.
